Pray for the All-Age Service on Sunday morning and for the young people who will be taking part. As church loyalty prizes are given out give thanks for the commitment of those families who come regularly to church. Pray that others may be encouraged to do so.

Give thanks to God for the many blessings we receive daily, for his presence and guidance and strength. Give thanks for the greatest gift; the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour, Redeemer and friend. Pray that God would enable us to serve him in response to all that he has given us.

Pray for the prayerful participation of all voting members in the forth-coming election to a new congregational committee. Pray that God will help us as a congregation to identify those who have a heart for the practical aspects of God’s work in this place. Thank God for the work of the outgoing committee and the financial support of the congregation. Pray that this will continue for the support of the new committee.

Pray for the Ten -Ten Drop In. Give thanks for those who come to the group. Pray that the relationships made will develop into meaningful friendships and provide a greater opportunity to share the gospel.

We pray for all those who have been bereaved recently especially the families of Mrs Georgi Quinn and Mr Ronnie Finlay. Pray that they may experience God’s special blessing at this time of their loss and sadness.

Pray for those who at this time suffer from illness at home or in hospital. Pray that God may draw them close to himself and that His Spirit of peace may be their special blessing. Pray for the relief of stress for their family and that doctors and medical assistance will create the right conditions for God’s blessing of recovery. We pray for those on treatment for illness that this will lead to a full recovery.

Pray for our congregation as we study the Book of Acts in Bible Study and on Sundays. Pray that we might be moved to pray for the spirit to work among us as it did then so that revival might come again.

Revive thy work Oh Lord; Give Pentecostal showers;

Be thine the glory thine alone! The blessing Lord, be ours.

Pray for the protection of the family unit as financial crisis continues. Pray for families affected by stress and / or the concern of unemployment, that these families may know God’s nearness and Spiritual calmness at this time in their lives and that doors of opportunity may open for them. Pray for all those losing jobs due to cutbacks in Education
Pray that as a congregation we can have eyes to see how we can reach out to people in need of practical assistance, pray that we might be able to tell them about Jesus Christ. Pray for boldness to take opportunities to share the gospel message 3 appropriately and sensitively.

Pray for Rev Curry as he serves in the congregation. Pray for emotional and physical strength for each difficult situation. Pray that he might know God’s blessing and nearness in his own personal devotions and as he prepares the word week by week.

Pray for children who are receiving transfer test results on Sunday that they will be assured that God has a plan for their lives.

Other Prayer Points

Open Doors We give thanks for Open Doors in their campaign to raise the issue of religious discrimination. We pray especially of Christians in North Korea who cannot share their faith with their children until they are old enough to understand the dangers of unguarded speech. We pray for God’s Blessing and support for all who find themselves under such persecution especially those in the 50 hotspots throughout the world.

Egypt Pray for a swift and peaceful end to the current crisis. Pray for the Christian families through-out Egypt at this time of unrest. Those who have lost loved ones due to the terrorist bombing, those who cannot openly practice their Christian faith. We pray for Christians in Tunisia and Jordan that the civil disorder may not be directed at them. Pray that God will strengthen their faith and reliance on God’s grace and Spiritual comfort will be their resolve. Churches and Christians in Egypt are praying and asking Christians around the world to pray for a resolution to this crisis that will lead to new openness and equality for all members of Egyptian society.

Derek and Jane French PCI Spain As part of training the GBU team, Jane French does a weekly Monday Bible Study with six girls.  They are currently studying a course called ‘Discipleship Essentials’.  Pray that the six girls would grow and mature in their faith and that they would be equipped to teach others. In addition to this, Derek French meets with Lina, Aimée and Jenna (the three full-time team members) every Monday morning for team planning and training.  Pray for Lina, Aimée and Jenna, that God would give them much wisdom and strength, especially when Derek and Jane are on Home Assignment later this month.

Tear Fund One Voice Week Pray that many will respond to the call to prayer for the work of Tear Fund this week. Pray for the special One Voice event in Carmoney on Saturday that it might be used to enthuse people to support and pray for this work.
