Pray for a Family a Day Over the next fortnight we encourage you to pray for the following church families. Pray that their relationships within their own family, within our church family and with God will be strengthened and deepened. “And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.” Phillipians 1:9-11

Give thanks to God for every blessing He has given us and glorify Him.
Pray that those who have difficulty in committing their lives to Jesus may be given encouragement to take that step of faith.
Pray for the new committee as they meet for the first time on the 29th January that the new members will quickly feel part of the team. Pray that all will be encouraged to use their gifts to the glory of God. (Col 3:23)
Pray for J team as they meet for the last time on Saturday 19th (Parents Night 2nd April). Give thanks for recent encouraging chats and interest in the Bible.
Pray for Street-reach on Friday Nights. Jackie H, Wallace and Richard C. on Fri 25th.
Pray for George and Joanne Duncan as they bring Sarah for baptism on Sunday (20th) and also for William and Elizabeth who brought little Jamie Savage for thanksgiving last Sunday. Pray that God would bless these children and that they would in time come to personal faith in Christ. Pray for the parents as they seek to keep the promises made.
Pray for the Youth work within the congregation. Numbers at Youth Club and MAD are both small but give thanks for the enthusiastic and faithful few. Pray that through the relationships that are being built and the times of discussions that the young people would be encouraged to take their stand as a Christian .
Pray for young people who are facing temptation to go along with the crowd and get involved in a life of sin. Pray that they would see the dangers ahead and trust in Christ as their Shepherd and friend.
Holy Week Mission Pray that this week of mission would be a special time of blessing in our congregation. Pray for Jonathan and Keith as they prepare sermons over the next month that God might open up His word to them. Pray for those we would like to invite. Pray that God’s spirit might be working in hearts and that through this mission many might come to trust in Christ for salvation.
Prayer for our Church Lord, We desire to be pure and obedient so our love for each other will be sincere and from the heart. Give us a spirit of unity so we glorify You with one heart and voice. Help us accept one another in love , Amen
Pray for expectant mothers within our congregation that they would know God’s peace at this time and for the safe delivery of their babies.
We pray for all those who have been bereaved recently and pray that they may experience God’s special blessing remembering especially Cowan family.
Pray for those who are ill at home or in hospital. We pray for the relief of stress for their family and that doctors and medical assistance will create the right conditions for God’s blessing of recovery. Pray for Rev Curry and those who minister in their time of need.
Pray for the protection of the family unit as financial crisis continues. Pray that families will know God’s nearness and spiritual calmness and that doors of opportunity may open for them. Pray for the children where confusion exists and parents are struggling to resolve differences that God may bless and support. where.
Other Prayer Points
Open Doors Continue to pray for the work of Open Doors remembering especially the 2000 Christians in Orissa who are still living in refugee camps after being attacked by Hindu fundamentalists over 2 years ago. Pray that the Indian government will stop ignoring their plight and take action on their behalf. Pray for their encouragement in the faith that they will remain faithful to Christ.
DGMH Livingstonia, Malawi Pray for Lynn and Johnny Dowds have been formally accepted by PCI for missionary service and are preparing to leave for Livingstonia in the Summer. Johnny and Lynn will be going along with their two daughters. Lynn will work as a doctor at hospital and Johnny will home school the girls.
Derek and Jane French, Spain. Pray for Derek and Jane as they return to Spain on22nd after a short Home Assignment. Pray for the week of mission that is being planned in two universities in the north of Spain beginning on 21st March. Pray for the student GBU members will be putting up posters and giving out invitations to the various evangelistic talks and exhibits they are planning. Pray for an interest in this mission, for openness in conversations and for students to come to Christ.
Lybia Pray for the Christian families who have lost loved ones throughout Arab countries (especially Libya) at this time of unrest and cannot openly practice their Christian faith. Pray that the civil disorder may not be directed at them. Pray that God will strengthen their faith and reliance on Him and that God would bring about good in this situation that there may be a greater freedom to openly worship God.
Christian Institute Pray that they may be successful in their endeavour to challenge legislation that “discriminates” against the Christian faith. Pray for Christians who are finding the new equality law restricts them from practicing what they believe.
Glenn and Julieann Cousley (MAF) are making plans to move to Uganda where Glen will take on the roles of Dangerous Goods Instructor, Health and Safety trainer and Security officer. Give thanks for God’s leading in this and pray for them as they pack up in Tanzania and make decisions re: timing, schooling etc.
