Pray for A Church Family a Day

Specific Prayer Points

Pray for Streetreach going out both this Thursday and Saturday night.  Pray that they will have sufficient numbers on their team for both nights and that God will protect them and lead their conversations.  Pray for a lad called David who was contacted last week – he has a church background and is searching spiritually.  Pray that he might turn to Christ.

Give thanks for a good start to Bible Studies on Elijah and pray that God will speak into our situations through these studies.  Pray for those who have been unable to come in recent days that interest in studying God’s word will be rekindled and that they will be able to make this commitment.

Pray for Open Sunday School on Sunday 26^th Feb when Michael Holmes comes along to tell children about Stand By Me Youth and SS Project.  Pray that the children will have an interest in being involved in this and that they will have a concern for others.

Pray for the Bowls Tournament being held next week (Tues,Wed,Fri) in aid of Tear Fund.  Pray for a good atmosphere and interest in the work of Tear Fund and that it will be well supported financially.  Pray for all the practical arrangements in organizing this event.

Pray for Mr and Mrs Hibbert (Keith’s parents) as they share of their work in Kenya through LIFT in PW on Tuesday night.  Pray for a good number of ladies to come along and for a good time of fellowship.

Pray for those who have been bereaved in recent days remembering especially the family of Mr Bill Leslie.

Pray for more Christians to support families that are struggling with health problems, challenging relationships, money worries and other issues causing anxiety, conflict or hardship. Pray for God’s peace, wisdom and comfort to those in need. Pray for children experiencing relationship problems either in school or in the home.

Give thanks for the free society in which we live and that we may use every opportunity to praise God’s greatness. Pray for changes to legalisation that diminishes God’s word, the Christian faith, or the supremacy of God’s laws. Give thanks and pray for the success of the Christian Institute who expose and seek to have such laws amended.

Revival Movement Association  Continue to pray for the work of the Revival Movement Association as they print large quantities of gospel literature and distribute it all over the world.  Pray that as people receive the gospel they might be transformed by it.

DGMHospital, Malawi Pray for Johnny and Lyn Dowds in Livingstonia.  With ongoing fuel shortages, failing economy and poor harvests life continues to be difficult in Malawi.  Malnutrition and malaria continues to present a challenge for those working in the hospital.  Pray for Lynn as she seeks to show God’s love and care and make a difference in the lives of the people there.  Pray for wisdom and patiences as she faces at times simple tasks can be made very complicated.  . Pray for good relationships among the staff.  Pray also for Una Brownlie.

Syria (from Prayerline)  Pray for an end to all violence and intimidation; and for peace and justice for all the people of Syria.  Pray that extremists will not take advantage of the current unstable situation.   Pray for the protection of Christians in Syria, and that they will know the Lord is with them at this difficult and uncertain time.

Stephen and Angelina Cowan,  Kenya Continue to pray for the situation at PCEA Tuum Girls’ Secondary School. Less than 20 girls have reported. Another teacher has had her employment at the school terminated by the government due to a technicality in the courses she studied. Getting replacements in remote rural places is difficult.  Also, water shortage is a big problem in this area.  Pray for encouragement for Angelina and Stephen in these difficult times.
